Five Years
Today is our fifth wedding anniversary! Time flies when you’re having fun.

Kim and John are wonderful, funny people (which became clear when we did a fun portrait shoot with them in May). To be honest I’d say Kim is the funniest maths teacher I have ever met.
They tied the knot at St Cuthbert’s, followed by a rooftop reception at Great John Street. Throw in some Jimmy Choo’s, a BBQ, handmade button bouquets and an epic cake table (by Cakes by Beth) and you have one BRILLIANT wedding!
This couple have crossed continents to be together. I think that says it all. Well almost, the friends and family they brought along for the ride deserve some kind of mention. We’ve never seen so much laughter in one day (you’ll see). If you don’t like pictures, I’m sorry there are so many. For everyone…
Vicky and Gav had a gorgeous wedding at the Inn at Whitewell (and the church next door!). It was an absolute detail fest – bunting, liberty print cushions, peonies, home made brownies, jars filled with wild flowers and bow ties a plenty. Vicky looked like a boho goddess in her Claire Pettibone gown, and the guests enjoyed a relaxed afternoon full of laughter.
It’s always a pleasure to photograph a wedding at Rivington Hall Barn, not only is it incredibly pretty there, it’s also near enough to our house that we can pop home and make a flask of tea during the wedding breakfast 🙂
Cheryl and Mike are lovely, funny people who laugh constantly (as we discovered when we did a little portrait sesh with them back in February!). Their wedding was so much fun, and the attention to detail was AMAZING!
I love going away to celebrate my birthday. This year we went to stay at The Swan in Newby Bridge (my favourite hotel in the Lakes!) for a few days of walking and relaxing. It was wonderful!
If you buy special brollies it won’t rain.
There’s something so nice about being able to have your wedding at the house you grew up in. I’m a little bit jealous of Natalie & Dan for being able to do this! And of their wedding – it was awesome! There aren’t many weddings where you can have a row of tractors and trucks…
A few weeks ago we had a little break in the Lakes with some great friends (most of whom are also photographers). We took a lot of pictures, obviously.
We had a lovely trip to the Cotswolds a few weeks ago for Ness and Jon’s wonderful wedding. As soon as we entered the driveway of Calcot Manor we were giddy with excitement, it’s just so pretty. I also believe all wedding venues should have an outdoor hot tub 🙂
We photographed Erika & Andy tying the knot couple of weeks ago at the stunning Pleasington Priory.
The weather might not have been great, but umbrellas look cool in pictures!
Yesterday my wonderful husband turned 30. We celebrated on Sunday evening in Manchester with good friends, pizza, cocktails and a Pete cake 🙂
