Paris

The day after the party we had the brilliant idea of going on a day trip to Paris.  As it’s about 3 1/2 hours drive from where we were, it was quickly pointed out that driving there and back in one day was madness.  A quick google later and we’d booked a hotel for 2 nights!

The last time we were in Paris was on our honeymoon three years ago, so it has a special place in our hearts!  We covered lots of the typical tourist spots on our honeymoon…

…so this time we didn’t rush to the eiffel tower and instead did lots of meandering.  The hotel we stayed at was Le 123 Hotel, which is right off the Champs Elysees – awesome.

The view was pretty cool…

Off to a cafe for a nice glass of wine…

The view was even better at night!

Breakfast time!

Yum.

We headed over to Musee D’Orsay to soak up a bit of culture…

It was BOILING!  We both got builders tans this day!

Then we swung by Laudree, which is such a pretty building filled with delicious treats!

These lasted approx 3 minutes. Delicious!

Later that night I discovered my new favourite shop, Sephora.  It was about 10pm and raining when Pete dragged me into this wonderland.  We stumbled out again a little poorer 🙂

Au Revoir Paris!

  • Walking with Rosie

Last week we took a break from hibernating in front of our computer screens and went for a wander with our friend Rosie.  For once it wasn’t raining (hurrah!); armed with our cameras and a couple of cosy hats we ventured into the hills.  Good times 🙂

  • Man of the woods

Albert loves being outside.  We decided to make the most of this lovely weather we’ve been having and go exploring in the woods at Beacon Fell.  Such a gorgeous, peaceful place (even more so in the sunshine!).

  • Laura

This is my friend Laura.  We met on the first day of high school (“hi my name’s Laura” “No WAY so’s MINE!”) and bonded over our love of stationery, Clueless, making up dances, and our entrepreneurial spirit (we made a fortune selling decorative objects made of salt dough at school fetes).  Here are some pictures I…

  • Just Us

In the down time before ‘wedding season’ is in full swing we are enjoying having lots of fun play time with Albert.  He loves being outside, marvelling at the trees and the sounds of the birds; we are going to have so much fun this summer when he can totter around and really explore! If…

People ask us all the time if we…

  1. I love all your images from France! I especially love the one above with Laura at the zebra crossing (not sure they’re called that in France, but anyway…) in the stripy top – it’s a genius capture!! 😀
