Laura’s 28th Birthday

Laura’s birthday was a couple of weeks ago now, but it seems wrong that I should have had a birthday blog post and not Laura!  So here it is 🙂

Happy late birthday to my lovely wife.  She rocks.

Starting off the celebrations early, we had some ‘birthday eve’ cupcakes in bed.  Followed by a mini mountain of sweets

My favourite card, ever.

Breakfast in bed is a required element of the ‘Lawson birthday experience’ (I’m not allowed to blog shots of Laura eating this first thing in the morning though)

Then it was off to Manchester to find a replacement birthday present.  Note to self, never buy shoes online.

The birthday girl, now present crisis has been averted!

We went to Chester for some local site-seeing/tea drinking.

Afternoon tea should be a new birthday tradition!

Here’s the replacement present in all its glory.  Pretty, but it doesn’t suit me.

Yummy!

Thanks for being awesome, Laura.  xxxx

  • Walking with Rosie

Last week we took a break from hibernating in front of our computer screens and went for a wander with our friend Rosie.  For once it wasn’t raining (hurrah!); armed with our cameras and a couple of cosy hats we ventured into the hills.  Good times 🙂

  • Man of the woods

Albert loves being outside.  We decided to make the most of this lovely weather we’ve been having and go exploring in the woods at Beacon Fell.  Such a gorgeous, peaceful place (even more so in the sunshine!).

  • Laura

This is my friend Laura.  We met on the first day of high school (“hi my name’s Laura” “No WAY so’s MINE!”) and bonded over our love of stationery, Clueless, making up dances, and our entrepreneurial spirit (we made a fortune selling decorative objects made of salt dough at school fetes).  Here are some pictures I…

  • Just Us

In the down time before ‘wedding season’ is in full swing we are enjoying having lots of fun play time with Albert.  He loves being outside, marvelling at the trees and the sounds of the birds; we are going to have so much fun this summer when he can totter around and really explore! If…

People ask us all the time if we…
