A new toy – Contax 645

We recently started playing with film, and in true Lawson style decided to jump in feet first and get a snazzy camera, the Contax 645.

We’ll be sharing lots of pictures from it, but for now here are a few ‘tester shots’ we did of each other in the first few days…

All images taken with Contax 645, Portra 160VC (except the pictures of the camera itself of course – that’s impossible!).

  • Walking with Rosie

Last week we took a break from hibernating in front of our computer screens and went for a wander with our friend Rosie.  For once it wasn’t raining (hurrah!); armed with our cameras and a couple of cosy hats we ventured into the hills.  Good times 🙂

  • New USBs

Our shiny new USB sticks from usbmemorydirect.com arrived in the post!  Ok, they’re not shiny, they’re all rustic and wooden, but we love them so we thought we’d share a few pictures of them in all their glory 🙂

  • Man of the woods

Albert loves being outside.  We decided to make the most of this lovely weather we’ve been having and go exploring in the woods at Beacon Fell.  Such a gorgeous, peaceful place (even more so in the sunshine!).

  • Just Us

In the down time before ‘wedding season’ is in full swing we are enjoying having lots of fun play time with Albert.  He loves being outside, marvelling at the trees and the sounds of the birds; we are going to have so much fun this summer when he can totter around and really explore! If…

  1. Hooray for film! Also – hooray for knitwear!

There’s an ace second hand camera shop in the Northern Quarter in Manchester that does loads of old film cameras and lenses and developing equipment. Can’t remember what they’re called but they’re along the road behind Debenhams. I got my film developing tank there and a couple of bargain lenses for my Pentax. 🙂
