Light hunting in London.
So, it was pretty cold on the day of Lhacy & Ash’s wedding, and rainy… and Lhacy had a silk wedding dress. So rather than ruin a perfectly good wedding dress, we decided to do a shoot the day after the wedding.
We love any excuse to take more pictures 🙂
What an amazing day! I have to apologise in advance for the number of pictures in this post, but there’s just so much that we loved about the day. This was the furthest north we’ve been in the UK, and if anything, Scotland gets prettier as it gets colder.
The day was fun, emotional, intimate and full of cute moments – all the things I love about weddings. The couple and the guests were exceptionally welcoming and made us feel like part of the celebrations.
When you’re having your wedding at a castle, you really want to make the most of it! With this in mind, Lhacy & Ash had a night before gathering with their guests. A quick bite to eat then the ladies and men separated for the night.
The girls got to be girly and have a bridal shower, while the men played poker, pool, and putting a pair of boxers on a bison’s face – a new one for me.
If I had to sum up Rebecca and Dean’s wedding in a few words I’d pick: joyful and rainy!
A beautiful ceremony (with the loveliest priest ever who told me “I’m so happy you’re here; aren’t weddings a wonderfully happy occasion?”) followed by a relaxed reception at the Merewood in Windermere. Rebecca and Dean are calm people; a complete pleasure to be around. Even when facing a torrential downpour they had smiles on their faces. Who cares if it’s raining when you’re happy.
“Help, I’m a cookie”
We are giddy with excitement! Â The Wedding Industry Awards 2012 – Best Wedding Photographer, North West! It means so much to us that so many of the amazing couples we have met over the last two years voted for us. Â I don’t want this to sound like an oscar acceptance speech, but seriously, thank…
The delightful blog Any Other Wedding featured some of our wedding pics! Â Amanda and Chris were featured on Wedtog… …and Hayley and Rob sent us hot chocolate from Paris!!!
We shot this lovely wedding last week at the lovely Maison Talbooth on the border of Essex/Suffolk. It was a much classier affair than ‘the only way is essex’ had led me to expect!
Amanda & Chris were aiming for a fabulous family party, where they also got married – nothing that screamed ‘wedding’! They’re best friends first and foremost, even choosing the wedding dress together, so anything stuffy and formal would have been well out of place.
Any day that includes afternoon tea, tennis, and a wine tasting is a great day in my book, throw a wedding ceremony into the mix and it’s just about perfect!
We went for a walk in the fog around Haigh Hall with these lovely folk, then went home, drank mulled wine and watched x factor…the perfect Sunday!
We had a lovely trip to the North East a couple of weeks ago for this gorgeous autumn wedding. Wynyard Hall is a stunningly beautiful building, with its own chapel attached (handy!) where Jo and James tied the knot.
Lovely people, lots of personal touches and FIVE cakes. Amazing.
