Second Shooting With Tobiah Tayo – Lindsey + Roy
Tobiah’s girlfriend, and usual assistant, was ill and unable to make it to this wedding (a photographer’s worst nightmare!), but us wedding photographers are a surprisingly friendly lot and we’re always willing to help each other out so I was very happy to volunteer.
It been about 5 years since I last had the chance to second shoot with someone, but it’s something I’d highly recommend! Seeing how a different photographer works, and even just shooting without the pressure of being the main photographer, is incredibly educational. Now my main job for the day was to hold bags, pass lenses, and hold off camera flashes, but I did find some time to take pictures too. There are loads (and loads) of pictures posted over on Tobiah’s blog here but I had to post some of my favourites from the day:

Ah the glamorous life of a wedding photographer!

A few days after the wedding, an exciting package arrived in the post from Tobiah – chocolate!! Always a crowd pleaser.

Thanks Tobiah, it was a pleasure working with you. His monster blog post of the wedding is here: http://www.tobiahtayo.com/blog/wedding/wedding-photography-at-the-inn-at-whitewell-roy-lindsay – go check it out.

The b/w of dad doing his speech is so cheeky – love it. Well done, Pete for coming to the rescue, a sterling job that definitely deserves choc.
Well done Pete – love the photo of them kissing through the door with the flare! Choccies look good too!
The car shot with the reflection of the driver is simply fantastic. I wish I had taken it!
The pics of Pete opening the chocolates are priceless! Still very jealous of your vignettes – your Lightroom seems much better at it than mine! 😀
Fantastic images! I love the B/W shot of the couple kissing and the father of the bride during the speeches – both timeless. Great work Pete 🙂
Really wonderful moments captured. I love the face-to-face image from the speeches.
