Nick + Phill’s Civil Partnership at Ruthin Castle

We were so excited to shoot our first civil partnership, and Nick and Phill did not disappoint us!

The venue, Ruthin Castle, is a really beautiful place.  There are grand bits (chandeliers and such), rustic bits (medieval walls and gardens) and even a mini forest (by the car park, we always fall in love with the most glamourous spots!).  Speaking of which, one of the most awesome things about shooting a civil partnership was that there was no dress – Phill and Nick didn’t bat an eyelid when we suggested a nature ramble!

It was such a pleasure to be part of this day; the atmosphere was fantastic, the guests were lovely, Phill and Nick were adorable, the registrar was delightful and the dancing was epic.  Can’t ask for more than that.

It was all hands on deck to finish the place cards!

Ready to go and meet their guests…

Ceremony time!

Portraits in the woods…

Fierce!

Back to the mingling!

Fantastic speeches…

Time for dancing!

Phill and Nick, thanks so much for everything, it was awesome. xx

  1. Another great set of photos – you guys are so versatile! The animal pics are postcard-perfect.

I smiled when I looked at those photos with the light-lines across them – reminded me of when Pete, Kyle and I were in Revolution taking long exposure photos and experimenting with the lights. 😀

  2. Such a great coverage of their civil partnership, from photographing a couple of civil partnerships in the last two years, they really do feel so close and personal, and a true pleasure to be a part of. Nick and Phill’s civil partnership looks fantastic – great coverage guys!

  3. These are such beautiful pictures. Makes me so excited that you’re photographing my Wedding in Jan!! x
