  • WELCOME

Thank you for stopping by our blog! We are Pete and Laura and we're wedding photographers based in Lancashire, although we'll shoot weddings anywhere! This is us to the left, looking suitably loved up. We're rather easy to tell apart, Pete has a beard and Laura doesn't.

We're obsessed with taking pictures. We love to take pictures where there's some real emotion involved. We don't really care about pretty buildings and fields (well, within reason - some are very pretty!), but give us a newly married couple that want to have a kiss and a cuddle and we can take pictures all day. Which is convenient, given our choice of job.

This blog is where you can see sneak previews of recent weddings we've photographed, portrait shoots, and any exciting news about us (our parents also read this!). We hope you enjoy looking!

Janine + Scott’s Wedding at Chester Zoo – Part One

A wedding in a zoo?!  We knew this was going to be fun right from the start.  Then we met Janine and Scott, who are so lovely, and they told us about how relaxed and fun they wanted their wedding to be – no ‘formal’ pictures, loads of time -we could have squealed with happiness.

We started the day around the corner at the Doubletree Hilton, where they were both busy preparing.  I went to see the bride…

It was a fun morning!

How amazing is this button bouquet?!  Janine spend about 18 months making this, and started dreaming about buttons.  Totally worth it.

Meanwhile Pete went to see how Scott was getting on…

I LOVE this one…

Rings, check.

Dress time…

Time to get to the zoo!  Oakfield House is a beautiful old house surrounded by greenery (and a few lions!).

I couldn’t pick one from the seconds before Janine walked up the aisle, so here’s the series…

The ceremony was really lovely (and very emotional!)…

The sun came out again!

Make sure you check out Part Two below for the rest of this awesome day!

Janine + Scott’s Wedding at Chester Zoo – Part Two

One of the best things about Janine and Scott’s wedding was the amount of time they allowed for relaxing, mingling, eating, drinking and enjoying their day.  It meant we could leave them alone for ages before going for a wander around the zoo to get some portraits.  There were so many gorgeous spots it was awesome:-)

Celebrities for the day!

Aren’t Janine and Scott the CUTEST?!

Gotta love a random phone box!

We popped over to Bora Bora…

…only kidding, it was in fact the fascinating grass section!

Back to the partay.  Sambuca anyone?

We were visited by a few animals…

Time for some speeches!  Scott was fully prepared for tears…

Here they come…

…Yep they got him!

After the speeches we were led off on a little safari around the zoo.  It was so brilliant to walk around after hours when the zoo was closed to the public!

Lions, much like our cat Puddington, mostly snooze during the day…

We headed for the jaguar house…

Dinner time!

It’s impossible not to love penguins.

But I think tigers are my favourite:-)

Obviously they love animals, what with the zoo setting and all, but wow that’s a lot of pets!

After the sun went down Pete and I followed the sound of roaring and found the lion and lioness play fighting.  It was amazing to see them so active, here’s the lion who followed Pete up and down for a while, scary!

Anyway back to the wedding!  First dance…

…followed by karaoke!

Thanks Janine and Scott for having such a fun wedding and picking us to photograph it!  Say hi to Mickey for us! x

Lucy + Tim’s Wedding at Soughton Hall – Part One

I’m going to start by saying Lucy made us brownies.  In fact she made us a little snack bag each (with our names on).  In fact she made EVERYONE brownies and handed them out at the church so people wouldn’t get hungry on the journey to the reception.  I think this will give you a good idea of exactly the kind of thoughtful, organised and detail filled wedding we are dealing with here!

Lucy’s dress was also AMAZING!

Bridesmaid survival kits (in cute bags of course!)

It was like Christmas!

Meanwhile Pete was snapping away as Tim opened his pressie!

Here’s what was inside…

One of Lucy’s bridesmaids was the lovely Mandy who got married to….

…the equally lovely Matt 2 years ago!  So nice to see them (and half of their families!) again.

Tim had a champagne/fry up breakfast…

Meanwhile around the corner…

This dress could not suit Lucy more!

She made this!

Lucy wore…

…and Tim wore…

Time for dad to see!

It’s fair to say he thought she looked beautiful…

We headed off to the church with our snacks!

Here comes the bride!

Married!

This is a great way to get rid of all that confetti!

Brownies and marshmallows were distributed…

…while we snuck off into the woods for a few portraits…

Love. This. Wall.

Check out part two below for more!

Lucy + Tim’s Wedding at Soughton Hall – Part Two

Lucy and Tim chose Soughton Hall for their reception, which is a really beautiful place…

Off we went to the swing with mr and mrs!

They literally ran to the swing like kids:-)

How amazing are these giant balloons?!

Gorgeous details…

Speech time!

Time to boogie…

Congratulations Lucy and Tim! x
