Caroline + Matthew’s Wedding at St James’ Church, Didsbury + Stock Restaurant

Laura — Mon, 25 Oct 2010 22:29:01 +0000

We had a fantastic time on Friday at Caroline and Matthew’s wedding. I am a bit in love with autumn weddings, as long as it doesn’t rain (which it only did slightly, and not enough to get in the way!). All of the details were beautiful – the stunning florals from Blossom in Chorlton; the cute feathery Coast bridesmaid dresses; not to mention two beautiful venues – St James’ Church in Didsbury and Stock Restauran t in Manchester city centre. Caroline was lucky enough to have a bridesmaid who is a wedding planner; the lovely Lucy of Williams Hart Weddings did an amazing job helping Caroline plan such a gorgeous wedding. On with the photos!

Caroline’s beautiful Charlotte Balbier dress…

A gorgeous gift from her husband to be…

I LOVE these dresses!

A decadent breakfast of dry toast!

Caroline’s dad was staying out of the way!

Caroline’s mum was feeling a bit emotional

Something borrowed (her Grandmother’s brooch)…

Seconds before this photo was taken Caroline’s mum said she feels so blessed to have such wonderful daughters…

How pretty are the bridesmaid’s bouquets?!

We arrived at the church to find Matthew nipping to the pub across the road…

I love this shot of Pete’s!

Could she look happier?

As well as being very pretty, another plus about St James’ is that there’s a park right next to it!

Did I mention I love autumn?

Absolutely love the mirror table plan!

Time for some speeches…

Congratulations Caroline and Matthew! x

Nikki + Mike’s Wedding at St Ann’s and Stock Restaurant Manchester – Part 1

Peter — Thu, 16 Sep 2010 08:00:53 +0000

Just over a week ago we had the pleasure of photographing Nikki & Mike’s wedding in Manchester. I love city weddings, apart from being able to grab a quick coffee in a cafe before starting shooting, they just have a completely different feel to the day – less ‘Pride and Prejudice’ and more ‘Sex in The City’.

Nikki & Mike are good friends with a couple of our previous clients: Ayesha & Paul and Francesca & Mark who it was lovely to see again! We’re also shooting one of the Bridesmaids’ wedding next year – nothing like a little extra pressure

On with the pictures:

Nikki made such a fun and happy bride!Love this one of Nikki’s brotherMike enjoying a quick drink behind the churchPossibly my favourite. Did I mention that I love city weddings?! Coming up, part 2…

After the lovely ceremony and confetti action, we headed around the corner in a taxi to the lovely architecture around Manchester’s Library. Nikki & Mike are a little camera shy (like most people!) but they came around!

Then onto the lovely Stock Restaurant where Nikki & Mike had an awesome Champagne theme. Thanks for sharing your lovely day with us Nikki & Mike! Congratulations xx

Kate + Nick’s Manchester city centre wedding – Part one

Laura — Tue, 23 Mar 2010 15:10:50 +0000

WARNING: This post is excessively long, even when split into a Part One and Part Two; you may need a cup of tea half way through

Kate and Nick’s wedding on Sunday was fun, relaxed and blessed with sunshine. Nick was best man for Joanne and Darren’s wedding back in 2008, it’s always nice to see a few familiar faces! We love city weddings, and these two chose fantastic venues: Manchester Town Hall for the ceremony and Stock Restaurant for the reception. I must also mention Becky of Blossom Flowers who did an amazing job with the floral arrangements – some people make our job so easy!

First up we headed up to the penthouse of the Radisson Edwardian to see Kate…

Great view of the Town Hall!

Kate was NERVOUS!!!

My favourite shot of the morning…

Her bridesmaids were a good distraction though…

Love this one…

Kate’s cousin did a great job with her hair!

Dress time…

Kate’s Dad arrived with the last bridesmaid: Kate and Nick’s ADORABLE little girl…

“What time is it?”

Gorgeous!

We headed to the Town Hall to see Nick…

Love this shot Pete took!

Here comes the bride…

The Town Hall is such a beautiful building…

Love this shot of Kate cracking the registrar up!

The bit where everyone holds their breath…

Married!

Check out Part Two below for what happened next!

Where were we? After the ceremony Mr + Mrs walked out into a cloud of bubbles – what a great alternative to confetti!

While guests made their way to Stock, we took a detour with Kate + Nick…

love love LOVE it!

Then we headed over to the lovely Stock Restaurant…

Lovely table details…

Yummy looking cupcakes from The Sweet Tooth Cupcakery

Adorable little ladies…

A few shots from the speeches…

…and last but not least a few from the first dance…

Congratulations Kate and Nick, have a lovely honeymoon! x
