Helene brightens up any room with her infectious smile, Andy has the most brilliant dry sense of humour, it’s a beautiful combination. Poor Andy was more than a little nervous and emotional before the ceremony – but just about held it together (ok, not really) despite the “Daddy, here comes mummy” sign their little one carried as she ran up the aisle to him.

We were very lucky to have gorgeous weather at West Tower for the whole day, everyone was outside soaking up the sunshine. Is summer finally here?

Here are some of our favourites of the day, including far too many of Helene, because we’re a sucker for that glorious smile:

We shot this wedding just over three weeks ago and at the height of wedding season that’s long enough for us to have almost completely forgotten what a wedding was like.  It’s not until we start looking through the pictures again that it all comes flooding back, and we remember what an amazing day it was – and Mel & Steve’s wedding really was.

Lots of love and lots of laughter, it was awesome

Congrats Mel & Steve! xx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

I have to mention the amazing Adam Johnson (www.arj-photo.co.uk) who joined me as Laura’s maternity leave stand in, his pictures are frankly stunning

Here are some of my favourite from the day (at the fabulous West Tower):

Here are some of our favourites:

Busted.

Congratulations, Lindsey & Shaun!  Thanks for letting us be part of your day.

They also chose the same venue we did (West Tower), had a delicious lemon flavoured cake and decided not to have any group shots so that we were free to roam.  Brilliant!

Love this wall art!

Steph was calming her nerves!

Meanwhile Andy was keeping busy…

Let’s roll

So adorable!

Finally it was time to get the dress on.  She looked AWESOME.

We scooted over to West Tower as the guests were gathering.  It’s always lovely to come back here

Andy was pretty nervous!

Here we go!

Married!

This is the “omg we just got married!” face

We went for an explore with Mr & Mrs.  When we’d arrived I spotted this wall and thought it would be a good place to start…why are the best places always next to the car park and surrounded by rubbish?!

Love this one of Andy’s mum…

Sweets

This was a fab idea – a US post box to sign!

The details were spectacular!

A few lovely speeches…

TOMS in the evening (in on theme grey of course!)…

Always best to do a few lunges before you cut the cake.

A brilliant day; Steph and Andy thank you so much for being brilliant. xx

Di spent the morning in the bridal suite with her daughters…

Di’s dress was AMAZING!!

Here’s Dave, Mr smiley…

Dress time!

A moment with her sons (who walked her down the aisle)…

Here we go!

Married!

Check out Part Two for more!

Confetti madness!

It was a little bit breezy!

Love this one

Lovely details.  The excellent Laurie supplied the gorgeous flowers.

The crooner, hard at work!

The speeches were lovely and emotional.

Such a gorgeous evening!

Time to boogie…

Sometimes, you just gotta get that picture!

Thank you so much Di and Dave for an absolutely lovely day! x

Rhiannon beamed with happiness all day, Oli shed a tear as they said their vows – it was a joy to photograph.

We joined the lovely Rhiannon in the bridal suite where she got ready with her bridesmaid (and had plenty of visitors!)…

Oliver’s mum popped in and admired the dress!

Rhiannon had bought most of the contents of a Bobbi Brown counter…

All of the floral arrangements were courtesy of Laurie, who always does an amazing job.

Pete popped downstairs to see Oliver…

These are my favourite ‘dress putting on’ pictures ever!

She looked stunning…

Time to go…

I love this one…

Married!

This was the longest confetti tunnel we’ve ever seen – they were well and truly COVERED!

Check out Part Two for the rest of Rhiannon and Oliver’s gorgeous wedding!

That’s a good sky!

West Tower is rather pretty…

The beautiful cake from Daisy Hill…

A few from the speeches…

Oliver’s dad Guy said a few words too…

…and finally a few from the first dance…

Congrats Rhiannon and Oli! x

So, the pictures – there are rather a lot so grab a cup of tea and a biscuit, and get comfy:

Andrea was so happy and radient in the morning – you would not have thought she’d been up since 3am!

Love this moment with her dad, so cute! Gareth is one of those people who can make anyone feel at ease: The ceremony was held at the stunning Bishop Eton Church.  It was an absolute pleasure to photograph there, not only was the priest absolutely lovely to us, but they also had daylight balanced lights (the photographers out there will know what I mean!). One of my favourites: Love this shot, guest starring the lovely Mark from AWS cars who we can’t recommend highly enough if you want a beautiful modern wedding car.  We grabbed Andrea & Gareth for a quick 15 mins of portrait related fun: I’m not sure who started this?! Pretty glasses

As it was Grand National day,  Andrea & Gareth bought everyone a bet on the race… and Laura won £16!  Thanks guys!! Gareth’s best men were trying to translate their north-eastern accents into something the mainly Merseyside based crowd could understand.  This involved a long haired wig and at one point, a car radio.  While I salute their bravery, I would caution that mocking a scouser is not a wise move!

The first dance was awesome, as were the band – The Funtime Frankies Congratulations Andrea & Gareth!  Thank you for letting us be a part of your day, and have a fab honeymoon!
