Lindsey & Simon’s Wedding at Heaton House Farm

Peter — Thu, 16 Jul 2015 11:35:15 +0000

From the moment I arrived at this wedding I knew it was going to be special. The girls were giddy with excitement, I don’t think I have a single picture of them not smiling and laughing. There was such an outpouring of love and excitement (just see the look on Lindsey’s father’s face as he came in to see her in the dress!).

All I kept hearing was just how wonderful Simon is, and you know what – they’re not wrong – but having spent the day with both of them, it’s fair to say that he’s a very lucky man too. They’re both such warm and awesome people that it was a pleasure to be part of their day.

Their outside ceremony at Heaton House Farm was followed by G&Ts on the lawn in the sunshine, garden games, woodland portraits, a sweet table, naked cake, and great music. Not a bad way to spend a Friday.

Helen & Daniel’s Wedding at Arley Hall

Peter — Mon, 12 Jan 2015 09:37:02 +0000

[dropcap]H[/dropcap]elen & Daniel had a gorgeous Christmassy wedding, well, just before Christmas! There were mince pies, mulled wine aplenty, and much merriment! It was pleasure to be a little part of their big day. Arley Hall lends itself beautifully to winter weddings, so cosy yet opulent.

Nichi & Liam’s Wedding at The Secret Garden Ashford

Peter — Fri, 29 Aug 2014 20:56:38 +0000

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][dt_quote type=”pullquote” font_size=”h3″ background=”plain” animation=”fadeIn”]The way you’ve captured all of our friends laughing and looking so happy is just wonderful! Thank you!! I can’t wait for everyone to see them.[/dt_quote][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]I love shooting friends’ weddings, they’re rarely given a choice in the matter either

Nichi & Liam are two of the loveliest people you could hope to meet, two of the cleverest too. There are almost more degrees between them than I have fingers, so I tried not to talk too much. Despite my awkward silence, these two had an amazing day – always laughing, and pretty much always having a cute little moment.

The rain held off when it needed to, The Secret Garden was beautiful, as were all the little details (love a vintage tea party), I stole some jam. Perfect day.

Emma & Mark’s Wedding at Stanway House – Tithe Barn

Peter — Wed, 27 Aug 2014 08:34:18 +0000

This was a wonderful wedding down in the Cotswolds, always love driving down there – it’s always sunny too. My enduring memory of this day is the warmth and generosity of these guys’ families who all mucked in to produce a simply stunning wedding.

I’ve never before seen the groom’s dad and brothers cook the food – and it looked amazing. Also amazing were the flowers that Emma’s mum produced (no, she’s not a florist, just crazily talented), the rice crispy wedding cake made by Mark’s mum, the beers brewed by the groom, the guest produced cake served with tea instead of canapés, the bunting… I could go on and on. Basically, everything you see was homemade. Amazing.

“We absolutely love them, and feel so grateful that it was you that captured our little celebration.”

Angela & Paul’s Wedding at Langdale Chase

Peter — Sun, 03 Aug 2014 10:14:58 +0000

[dropcap]These[/dropcap] guys are so cute! So utterly in love. I loved every moment of their wedding and I’m just sad that I didn’t get to see the second part of their wedding back in the US – these guys know how to have a good wedding!

The ceremony was at Mater Amabilis, with the reception at the always gorgeous Langdale Chase hotel. The sun was shining, and everyone was up for having a brilliant day – perfect. Oh, and the wedding car was awesome!

Katy & David’s Wedding at Rivington Hall Barn

Peter — Tue, 24 Jun 2014 10:04:48 +0000

This was a such a beautiful wedding at Rivington Hall Barn. Surprise Louboutins for Katy from David in the morning set the tone. This couple are one of the most generous, thoughtful, and, dare I say it, glamorous, people I’ve had the honour of shooting.

Katy, who is always smiling, is wedding speech ‘ghost writer’ extraordinaire for the whole family. Obviously that couldn’t be the case for her own wedding. But thankfully, all the guys pulled it out of the bag, everyone laughed, some people cried – perfect.

WE love love love the photos!!! They are amazing! Thank you so much, also thank you for being a part of our special day!!

The sun was shining for their wedding and Rivington Hall Barn looked amazing as always. We’re so lucky to have one of our favourite venues just down the road from us! We heard that our favourite old phone box at the back of the barn was going to be leaving soon, not happy about that! Still, they do have some shipping containers now – always nice to have something a little bit in contrast to the gorgeous woodlands for portraits.

Enough rambling, here’s some our our favourite images from the day:

Pooja & Krishna’s Wedding At Thornton Manor

Peter — Sat, 08 Mar 2014 10:16:17 +0000

Our first wedding of 2014 was this beautiful Indian wedding day at Thornton Manor. It was also the first wedding that I have shot all on my own, while Laura enjoyed the last few weeks of her maternity leave. I loved it! Two ceremonies, amazing food, gorgeous couple, and a really lovely toastmaster called Bob.

Pooja & Krishna are both wonderfully smiley, and an absolute joy to be around. When Krishna first met Pooja he was worried that she was too glamorous to be interested. But who could resist that Mancunian charm? The attempted character assassination of Krishna in the speeches floundered over the fact that both best men agreed that he was pretty much the nicest person you could ever hope to meet.

Here are some of my favourites from their Thornton Manor wedding day:
