Middleton Lodge Wedding – Francesca & Mike

Peter — Mon, 03 Feb 2020 10:37:03 +0000

We’re so excited to share some photographs from this beautiful wedding at Middleton Lodge. Francesca & Mike are so full of fun, they’re the kind of people that you can’t help but smile when you’re with them. Just look at their happy faces!! Their merriment was clearly infectious too, as you can see in the people all around them.

Now we’ve photographed lots of weddings at the main house at Middleton Lodge, but this was our first time in the Fig House, and we have to say it’s simply gorgeous! Set inside the walled garden, and with beautiful exposed brick inside with those fabulous arched windows – it felt like we were in Tuscany.

Here are an extremely curated selection of our favourite pictures from their wedding day (I think we had around 500 actual favourites, but that’s possibly too much to blog!):

Sophie & Andy’s Wedding at Middleton Lodge

Sophie and Andy had an absolutely gorgeous wedding at Middleton Lodge. There’s something so wonderful and cosy about weddings in autumn, and Sophie & Andy very wisely chose venues surrounded by gorgeous golden trees. Middleton Lodge is so bright and airy inside, it just lends itself perfectly to photography! When we arrived at the church we were amazed at how pretty it was too, there was even sunshine

There was so much laughter, a funny vicar and glitter painting in the evening. Make sure you hang around for those pictures at the end, I feel like everyone should have a glittery beard!

Sophie and Andy, you are awesome, congrats guys! xxx

Here are some of the best photographs from their wedding:

Diane & Adam’s Wedding at Middleton Lodge

Peter — Thu, 06 Nov 2014 12:52:32 +0000

Diane & Adam’s wedding at Middleton Lodge was a very non-traditionnal affair. Generous with gorgeous details and wonderful families, but short on those things that convention dictates. No group shots, no first dance, no avoiding each other until the ceremony. It was very freeing to see a wedding dictated entirely by the couple’s wishes, it is supposed to be their day after all!

They got ready separately in the morning, but then had a first look before the ceremony to get those nerves out of the way, and have a moment to themselves. No group shots meant the guests could enjoy all the marvellous canapés (including mini burgers!) without having to traipse out into the cold.

In the evening there was a film showing downstairs in the cellar bar for the younger members of the wedding party, a very tense game of chess (there was no ‘let the bride win’ on her wedding day niceties here), before everyone was entertained by an awesome wedding singer. Oh, and fireworks and fun with sparklers.

I’m forgetting the halloween themed sweet table and the amazing Disney touches throughout the day. There’s probably a lot that I’ve neglected to mention, but the gist of it is this – Diane & Adam had their wedding the exact way they wanted to with a complete focus on them, their families, friends, and everyone having a brilliant time. We loved it!

Congratulations Diane & Adam!!!! Your wedding was amazing – hope your honeymoon is too! Pete & Laura xx

Alice and Sam’s Wedding at Middleton Lodge

Laura — Fri, 09 Nov 2012 09:19:06 +0000

Despite the fact Alice and Sam said before the big day “we just can’t wait for it all to be over and we’re just married and can get on with our lives”, their wedding was BRILLIANT!

A chilled out party with their close family and friends at Middleton Lodge, a cosy and beautiful house in Yorkshire. It was the kind of wedding you’d love to be a guest at, and we’re so thankful Alice and Sam let us join them.

On with the photos!

The beautiful flowers were by Flower Design (who are brilliant)

What do you do when you forgot your something blue (garter)? You get your bridesmaids to sign your leg in blue biro

Congrats Alice and Sam! xx
