Jess & Dave’s Wedding in Lancashire – Bretherton Cricket Club

Peter — Fri, 02 Dec 2022 11:43:58 +0000

Your local cricket club might not be the most obvious place to hold a wedding reception, but this wedding should change your mind! Jess & Dave put up an enormous marquee (lots of space at a cricket ground!) and decorated it delightfully. Confetti played a key role in this decoration, I’m not sure if the guests just carried it on their clothes in an inch thick layer from the absolutely epic, over the top, amazing confetti toss (or, as we saw it, the right amount of confetti) but it looked amazing!

Confetti and Cricket then, not a bad theme for a wedding. Add in some fun loving guests, plenty of emotion, and you’ve got yourself one of the best weddings we’ve ever been to. The yellow Mustang wedding car (with matching umbrellas) was pretty good too. Oh, and those leopard print wedding shoes!

Here are an excessive number of pictures from Jess & Dave’s wedding. We tried cutting them down more, I’ve been through this selection four times to get to a more appropriate number, but I failed. I love them all too much. Best problem a wedding photographer can have though.

James & Sarah’s Country Wedding

Peter — Fri, 10 Sep 2021 11:39:43 +0000

We adored this action packed fun fest of a wedding day. A big part of this being a festival of fun was the presence of their very own fun fair. A fun fair at a wedding? How can we make this happen at all weddings!? A little trip on the dodgems after dinner, this is how life should be

James had an epic pre-first dance performance for Sarah, with the groomsmen as his backing dancers – they put on quite the show. We’re so happy they chose us to photograph their amazing wedding and wish we could do it all over again. I never managed to get on the dodgems!

Courtney & Adam’s Wedding in Lincolnshire

Peter — Wed, 10 Aug 2016 09:44:28 +0000

This was an amazing wedding! Courtney is an awesome wedding photographer (www.courtneylouisephotography.co.uk), and Adam is very cool sound engineer – so they’ve both been to enough parties to know how to throw a great one themselves. Everything was chilled, relaxed, and there was a coffee station set up from the moment guests arrived at the marquee (there always should be coffee!).

The ceremony itself was at Tattersall Castle, which we’ve only been to for the weddings of wedding photographers, so I think that pretty much sums up how pretty it is. We’ll just forget about the fact that the wedding car broke down on the way

Adam from the The Wedding Filmmakers was on hand for video (we’ve seen the preview of which on Facebook and it’s awesome!). The beautiful flowers were by Mrs Umbels, and their band was the fabulous Cover Cats.

It was such an honour to be part of this wedding, here are a few hundred of our favourites. Yes, it’s another long one… I recommend a strong latte to go with it.

Emma & Jonny’s Marquee Wedding

Peter — Mon, 28 Jul 2014 09:51:37 +0000

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]This wedding was a real treat. Fabulous people, so much in love. Every time I looked at Emma & Jonny they were having a secret little smooch. We kept remarking just how relaxed and and calm they were, to which they replied that this wasn’t normally the case! I can’t believe that, I’m not sure I can picture these guys not smiling.

The wedding itself was at St James the Great in Audlem, and then on to a marquee at Emma’s family home. Love a wedding at home – it’s instantly more intimate and personal. Here are just a few of our favourites from the day:

Congratulations guys!![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Carrie & Chris’ marquee wedding in Ilkley

Laura — Tue, 20 Aug 2013 12:57:27 +0000

Carrie and Chris live in Singapore, but travelled home to get married and celebrate with all their family and friends. The ceremony was held at Carrie’s family church in Rawtenstall, and the celebrations over at Chris’ parents house in Ilkley. To say they planned this wedding from another country is incredible! The amount of love and attention to detail is a real testament to the team family effort!

It was a joy to photograph: lovely weather, tonnes of pretty details, and a very loved up couple!

Congratulations Carrie and Chris! xx

Rebecca & Simon’s Marquee Wedding in Derbyshire

Peter — Wed, 17 Jul 2013 21:38:49 +0000

It was such a pleasure to be asked back to Derbyshire to shoot Rebecca & Simon’s wedding. We shot Simon’s step-sister’s wedding back in 2008, also at the family home, and we couldn’t wait to come back to such a fantastic setting and such a wonderful close family.

Here are some of our favourites:

Congratulations Rebecca & Simon! Hope you had a fab mini moon

Rachael & Ian’s Marquee Wedding

Laura — Mon, 03 Sep 2012 08:02:38 +0000

Rachel and Ian’s wedding was a gorgeous, relaxed, country gathering. Brightly coloured seasonal blooms scattered in pretty jars; children running around with giant lollypops; a pretty marquee in the fields surrounding Rachel’s parents’ amazing house; a quite frankly, magical Temperley dress.

The sun was even shining!

Congratulations Rachael and Ian! xx

Natalie & Dan’s Marquee Wedding at Home

Peter — Wed, 11 Jul 2012 16:27:07 +0000

There’s something so nice about being able to have your wedding at the house you grew up in. I’m a little bit jealous of Natalie & Dan for being able to do this! And of their wedding – it was awesome! There aren’t many weddings where you can have a row of tractors and trucks neatly laid out as the background for your pictures (skip to the end if you want to see those!).

Here are some of our favourites:

Thanks for letting us be part of your fabulous wedding!

Lexy + Jimmy’s Cheshire Wedding

Peter — Sun, 04 Sep 2011 11:42:17 +0000

This was a gorgeous wedding. I’ll just let the pictures show the loveliness:

Thanks for letting us be a part of your big day guys!
