Royal Lancaster Wedding – Rachel & Dan

Peter — Wed, 01 Jul 2020 12:31:44 +0000

Rachel & Dan’s jewish wedding at the Royal Lancaster hotel in London was awesome! We knew it would be though. We photographed Rachel’s brother’s wedding in London a few year ago and loved that day! Such a wonderful family.

Everything took place at the Royal Lancaster. Rachel & Dan got ready in these fabulous rooms way up in the sky – the views were stunning! That’s something we adore at city weddings – being able to look down on the whole city, just wow. It was a little cloudy and rainy – but really that only added extra atmosphere!

The wedding ceremony and reception took place downstairs in the cavernous rooms (there were a lot of guests!) the Royal Lancaster offers. The Chuppa looked amazing, and the reception was fully decked out with flowers and brilliant lighting.

But more importantly, the dancing, our favourite part of a jewish wedding, was brilliant! So much energy and fun. Everyone was up on the dance floor! The men flung the groom up in the air on a table cloth (I think he missed the ceiling, just about). The ladies picked up Rachel for the chair dance. I wish all weddings had these traditions!

It was lovely to work with HD Moments finally – they did a fantastic job of filming everything.

Here are some of our favourite pictures from their day:

Fran & Alan’s Wedding at Clissold House, London

Laura — Wed, 11 May 2016 12:48:04 +0000

We had a lovely trip down to London a couple of weeks ago for Fran and Alan’s wedding. It was sunny (obviously, it’s always sunny when we leave the north!), and the whole day was just filled with fun and laughter. They tied the knot at Clissold House, a gorgeous venue in the middle of a park. Then we were all loaded onto a double decker and taken to China Palace for an immense chinese banquet and lots of dancing. Sit tight, there are a lot of favourites here!

Congratulations Fran and Alan! xx

Rachel & Steven’s Wedding at The Royal College of Surgeons

Peter — Tue, 17 Dec 2013 20:54:40 +0000

This is quite a strange blog post for me to write, as none of these pictures were taken by us. They were taken by our incredible friends Liam Crawley (www.cgweddings.co.uk) and Phillip Allen (www.misterphill.com) just a few hours after our son was born at the other end of the country. Words can’t really express just how grateful we are to these guys for stepping in for us! We’re also pretty fortunate that they happen to be two of the best wedding photographers in the country.

Thanks also to Rachel & Steven for being so brilliant about it too, I was really hoping to be able to make it but Bertie had other ideas!

As I wasn’t there, it’s quite hard to know what to write about their wedding! Just looking through the pictures I can see that it was an amazing day, but I think Phill’s brief report to me works better:

“Steven and Rachel were adorable. Truly lovely people. Everyone was fantastic. I think it may have been the best groom’s speech, or any speech at a wedding or elsewhere for that matter, that I’ve witnessed.”

Here are some of my favourites:

Congratulations Rachel & Steven! Have an amazing honeymoon xx

Hannah + Adam’s Wedding at Renaissance London Chancery Court – Part One

Laura — Fri, 06 May 2011 17:49:36 +0000

This wedding was really special to us. It was a really emotional and beautiful day for many reasons. Hannah & Adam are a lovely couple who obviously are perfect for each other – laughter is one of the defining features of their relationship (and we do love a good giggle). There were also many familiar faces from Rachel & Jacob‘s lovely wedding (Hannah & Adam being some of those familiar faces!). We love how action packed Jewish weddings are too!

The Renaissance Chancery Court Hotel was a fabulous venue in the heart of London. Enjoy the pictures!

The lovely bride…

The schedule!

Here comes the groom…

Here’s a guest who went the extra mile (literally) and decided to fly over and surprise everyone last minute!

Adam was as smiley as ever, no nerves in sight!

A little relaxing time?!

Quick check the schedule, you must have jobs to do!

Dress time!

Beautiful!

A friend made the glass to stamp on at the end of the ceremony…

Here’s what the men got up to in the tish…

You may recognise Jacob from his wedding last year to the lovely Rachel!

It was then time for Hannah to head down to the Bedeken…

The Bedeken room was right next door to the Tish room…which meant we could hear all the singing!

The first look!

Time to get married…

Married!

Take a look at Part Two below for the rest of this amazing day!

Annie + Kyle’s Wedding at Islington Town Hall + Conway Hall – Part One

Laura — Tue, 12 Apr 2011 16:44:12 +0000

Our friends Annie and Kyle are lovely. They’ve been together for 9 years, they’ve traveled the world together, and now they have that little piece of paper. We couldn’t be happier for them.

We love you guys!

On with the pictures! I started the day at their flat where Annie and Kyle said a quick goodbye (after spending the morning together decorating the reception venue!)…

This wedding was super organised. Imagine if you forgot cheese!

Annie’s AMAZING vintage dress…

Meanwhile Pete was around the corner waiting for Kyle to do some ironing and have a bacon butty…

Too long?

Flower massacre

Kyle had his suit made in Thailand while he and Annie were adventuring around the globe…

Annie’s lovely little sister Kate…

Lookin’ good!

Almost 4 years ago, at our wedding, we gave Annie and Kyle some glasses; Annie wanted to save them for a special occasion. This was that occasion so down they came, along with grandma’s crystal

Cheers!

As it was ridiculously gorgeous outside and we had plenty of time, we went to soak up some rays…

Pressie time!

Annie’s bro was rocking the super 8…

The boys headed back to the venue to do some final checks…

I love these pensive shots!

To quote Annie, “the pink file is more important than the dress”.

Vintage bridesmaid dresses and headpieces made by Kate, gorgeous!

Dress time!

So pretty

Slight adjustment

To the pub!

Make sure you check out parts Two and Three below!

Here’s where we left off after Part One; guests were starting to gather at the pub across the road…

Pete’s amazing self portrait!

Meanwhile the girls (and the pink file) were en route…

Islington Town Hall is so pretty…

Annie was led to a room to hide while the bridesmaids went to fetch Kyle…

Then they both hid while the guests were seated…

Kyle’s brother Nathan = the music man.

Here comes the bride…

…and groom!

A really beautiful ceremony…

Married!

Yes!

Then we scooted off to Conway Hall…

Ever feel like someone is watching you?

Love!

Time for a few portraits…

We were joined by this squirrel…

Love it!

Ok ok no more portraits!

Make sure you join us for Part Three!
