Caroline & Dan’s Wedding at Inn at Whitewell

Peter — Fri, 10 Sep 2021 12:00:15 +0000

What a glorious sunny (and extremely hot!) wedding over at the Inn at Whitewell. Caroline & Dan are super expressive which made our job so much easier, there was no boring stiff upper lip here! Lots of energy and emotion coming from these guys.

Everything took place at the Inn at Whitewell, so there wasn’t really a need for a car. However, Caroline’s dad knew that her dream car was a Jaguar e-type so he tracked down her grandad’s old one (which had been lovingly restored) to take her to the church. Such a lovely gesture and a great example of how both Caroline & Dan’s family went above and beyond to make this day as special as possible.

Here are some highlights from their wedding pictures:

Carrie & Mark’s Wedding at the Inn at Whitewell

Peter — Tue, 14 Jul 2015 11:11:03 +0000

I think maybe getting married has produced a profound change in Mark. He started the day with his usual steely composure, but by the time it came to his speech, well maybe he had something in his eye.

It didn’t end there though, when we were leaving the man known for his disdain for hugs was hugging everyone – it wouldn’t suprise me if he’s taken to hugging random strangers on honeymoon

This wedding was basically amazing from start to finish. Carrie & Mark are hilarious to hang out with, there was ice cream, and the sun came out when we got to the Inn at Whitewell! Disco Shed were absolutely fantastic for the evening party time too.

Hannah & Dave’s Wedding at the Inn at Whitewell

Peter — Thu, 18 Jun 2015 15:44:08 +0000

I have a little bit of a man crush on Dave because he said that I shouldn’t be worried about my receeding hairline as I had everything else going for me

Maybe I should leave it there? But that would be a little unfair to Hannah, who designed everything and made a lot of it for their wedding – and what a beautiful job she did of it all! I can’t imagine quite how much work it was!

We started the day in Preston before moving on to the pub and then the gorgeous Church – St John the Baptist in Preston. We’d never been there before and we didn’t expect to find such an idlyic spot just off the motorway! Plus we were allowed to take pictures – which is always a positive.

After the rather emotional ceremony, everyone moved over to the Inn at Whitewell for the reception, yet another beautiful spot (we do love our trees). This is where Hannah had really gone to town with all the little details.

The irrepressible Howard Wing performed in the meal and evening, getting the whole room up dancing, and just generally bringing the party. Excellent work Mr Wing

Gorgeous flowers were supplied by the ever brilliant Flower Design.

What else to say? Hannah and Dave were a pleasure to spend the day with, as was everyone we managed to speak to. Such a fabulous day!

Char & Andy’s Wedding at The Inn at Whitewell

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][dt_quote type=”pullquote” font_size=”h3″ background=”plain” animation=”fadeIn”]What incredible photographs, you’ve truly captured the essence of our day. We have so much love for you both for giving us this special gift.[/dt_quote][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][dropcap]S[/dropcap]ometimes it’s hard to come up with words to describe how much we loved a wedding. If I said Char and Andy’s wedding was ‘awesome’ it just wouldn’t do it justice. From the moment we first met them, a few years ago now, we were so happy they’d chosen us. Charlotte is hilarious, expressive, and has one of those warm infectious personalities that makes you want to be friends with her. She fell for a lovely boy called Andrew at school, and one Valentine’s day they got married at the Inn at Whitewell (there was some stalking and obsessing about him in-between but we’ll skip to the good bit).

It’s pretty common knowledge for anyone who knows this pair that Charlotte is completely smitten with Andrew, but one of our favourite moments of the day was late in the evening; we chatted to Andrew and he went on and on about how wonderful she is and how warm she is and how everyone loves her. I think it’s safe to say, if they were still at school it wouldn’t just be Charlotte writing ‘Char 4 Andy’ on her pencil case.

They are so wonderful together, it warms my heart to see two people so happy. It couldn’t have been a lovelier way to spend Valentine’s Day

Emma & Mark’s Wedding at The Inn at Whitewell

Peter — Tue, 11 Jun 2013 11:39:45 +0000

A few weeks ago we shot Emma & Mark’s lovely country wedding at the Inn at Whitewell. Stunning dress, stunning bride, stunning flowers by the always fantastic Flower Design, and the gale force winds were pretty stunning too! But Emma & Mark aren’t the kind of people to let a little breeze get in the way of having an amazing day!

Here are some of our favourites:

Congratulations, Emma & Mark! xx

Vicky & Gavin’s Wedding at the Inn at Whitewell

Laura — Mon, 30 Jul 2012 15:38:44 +0000

Vicky and Gav had a gorgeous wedding at the Inn at Whitewell (and the church next door!). It was an absolute detail fest – bunting, liberty print cushions, peonies, home made brownies, jars filled with wild flowers and bow ties a plenty. Vicky looked like a boho goddess in her Claire Pettibone gown, and the guests enjoyed a relaxed afternoon full of laughter.

Congrats guys! xx

Julia + Mark’s Wedding at The Inn at Whitewell

Laura — Sun, 26 Jun 2011 09:55:33 +0000

A beautiful, happy day in some truly beautiful settings. Julia and Mark tied the knot at the most adorable little village church in Pendleton, which has been there since the 1870s. There aren’t many weddings held there, so this was a really exciting day for the whole village! Afterwards we all headed over to the Inn at Whitewell to celebrate and enjoy those views.

I started the day with Julia, in the calmest house I’ve ever been to on a wedding morning!

Julia’s lovely mum!

A gift from the groom…

The flowers arrived (and were gorgeous!)…

Pete was nearby checking in with the boys…

Super organised colour coded seating plans for the church!

Mark is the smiliest person in the world!

Meanwhile Julia and her mum were awaiting the bridesmaids return from the hairdressers. It was a lovely part of the otherwise busy day

Mark’s mum was on hand to make sure he didn’t dribble ketchup down his waistcoat!

The best man (looking a bit nervous!)…

The girls arrived!

Bubbles and nibbles time!

To the church! Well actually…to the pub near the church!

Dress time!

She looked amazing!

People were starting to gather at the church…

If you’re not on the list you’re not coming in

Time to go!

Here we go!

Married!

There was a lovely spot at the back of the church so we grabbed a few portraits before heading off!

Time to mingle!

There’s some gorgeous spots at the Inn at Whitewell…

Such a cute idea!

The speeches were brilliant!

You can never have too much cake!

We borrowed the balcony from some of the guests (it’s attached to their room!)…

Robin Kershaw, DJ/all round nice guy…

He got everyone involved in the first dance!

Which started like this…

…and turned into this!

Congratulations Julia and Mark! xxx
