These lovely people, Lauren & Paul, got married at the always beautiful Allerton Castle a couple of weeks ago, and we just had to get their blog up in time for Christmas!

It was a rainy, cosy, wintery day (but no floods here!) so while we couldn’t venture outside for pictures, it really didn’t matter when they were surrounded by wonderful family & friends, great food, and a big open fire (and donuts!).

Here are some of our favourites:

Victoria & Dan got married on a lovely autumn day in November, we had all the weather, but eventually the sun came out and gave us that beautiful autumn light.  These guys are the perfect compliment to each other – Victoria’s always laughing and smiling, Dan’s more the strong quiet type.  And they’ve made a very cute baby!  Wonderful friends and family completed the line up, entertained with an excellent band, and well fed (with a pie cake and sweet table in the evening!).

Allerton Castle looked fabulous in the sunshine, and while being lit up by fireworks in the evening.  We love places a little bit out of the way – where you can actually see the stars at night (we were very excited to try and capture some pictures of them – such geeks).

Here are some of our favourites from their day.  Watch the slideshow if you want to see more!

What a beautiful day this was!  Sarah & Tom got ready at the holiday park attached to Allerton Castle – they were both very nervous before the wedding but they completely relaxed as soon as they saw each other at the top of the aisle.  Tom’s mum did a few amazing readings during the service, and the last one in particular had Sarah & Tom in fits of giggles.  The sun shone, drinks and laughter flowed – good times all round!

Here are some of my favourites from the day:
