A Trip to The Lakes

Laura — Mon, 09 Jul 2012 09:33:51 +0000

A few weeks ago we had a little break in the Lakes with some great friends (most of whom are also photographers). We took a lot of pictures, obviously.

We have a lot of cameras and choosing which to take a way with us is always a bit of a struggle. We decided on the Fuji x100 (it’s small and pocket friendly), the EOS 3 35mm camera (we have a lot of film sitting in our fridge which we need to use up!), and the 5D classic (we’d just had it fixed so it seemed shiny and new!).

I also made a little film using my iPhone 4 & 8mm App…

Good times I would highly recommend Fellgate Farm, such a beautiful place!

Alex Portraits

A couple of weeks ago we went for a walk in the woods with Alex D, armed with too many cameras and not enough gloves. Then we had hot chocolate and a kitkat; I’m not sure which bit was more fun

First up a few shot with my Yashica Mat 124G, Portra 400…

Meanwhile Pete was playing with his EOS 3 35mm (Portra 400)…

…and of course we threw in a load of digital too…

That was fun!

A new toy…Leica 3c

Laura — Fri, 17 Feb 2012 09:02:52 +0000

The Leica 3C was made in 1942; a heavy, solid, fully manual rangefinder which is really rather pretty. Here it is in all its glory…

There’s only one thing to do with a new (old) camera, and that is to go and use it. Here are some snaps from our first roll…

A lovely afternoon in the sunshine, hanging out with our friends Rebecca & Pete.

Film // Danielle + Richard

Laura — Sun, 28 Aug 2011 14:22:45 +0000

The film we just got back from the fabulous Richard Photo Lab in America also included a load from Danielle and Richard’s wedding. Waiting so long after taking pictures to see the results means you completely forget what you’ve taken; it turns out the answer is a LOT! Enjoy this bonus footage of a really beautiful day…

Film // The LMD Soiree

We just got some film back from America. Remember that time we went to the LMD Soiree with the Tayos? That was fun!
