WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
We’re based in Adlington, Lancashire but we’re available for weddings all over the UK and Europe. Travel within 100 miles is included, if your wedding is further than that we’ll charge £250 travel expenses. Need us to get on a plane? Just cover our accommodation and airfare.
DO YOU BOTH TAKE PICTURES?
Absolutely, we will both be taking pictures all day, and neither of us is the ‘lead photographer’.
DO YOU STILL DO THE TRADITIONAL GROUP SHOTS?
We are happy to do around 8 traditional groups, this will take between 20 – 30 minutes depending on the size of the groups (and how near the bar is!). Your ushers and best man can be very helpful at this stage by gathering the people you need. We won’t make you have traditional group shots, and it is not unheard of to not have any!
CAN WE PRINT FROM THE DVD?
Yes, please do! The only limitation we place on the images is that they are not to be used for commercial purposes without our consent (you can’t sell them), and if you’re sending them on to your hairdresser/magazines etc just let us know. The images are full sized and don’t have our logo or anything else over them, so you’re good to go!
HOW LONG WILL IT BE BEFORE WE CAN SEE OUR PICTURES?
All of your images will usually be online within 3 weeks, but there will be a sneak preview on our blog about a week after the wedding. Portrait shoot images are usually ready after 2 weeks.
CAN MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY BUY PICTURES?
Yes, you will have an online gallery with a password which you can give out to your friends and family. You are very welcome to print from your DVD and copy it for your mum, but if you don’t want the hassle you can direct people to your gallery.
DO YOU REQUIRE A MEAL AT OUR RECEPTION?
No, we are quite happy to bring our own food and sneak off at the most ideal times. It’s really lovely when we’re asked to join you for dinner, but honestly that’s the time we like to loaf on a sofa, have a cup of tea and back up your pictures on a laptop!
HOW MUCH IS THE DEPOSIT?
We ask for a £400 deposit to secure your wedding date, with the remaining balance due 28 days before the big day.
DO YOU SHOOT DIGITAL OR FILM
We tend to shoot mostly digital, but have an option to add a few rolls of film if you like (£500 for ten rolls of film in addition to your digital images). These film images are scanned so you receive them on a DVD along with your digital files, and are also added to your online gallery so you can order individual prints.
I DON’T LIVE NEAR YOU, CAN WE SKYPE?
Yes! Although it’s a bit nerve wracking chatting over the net, it’s a great alternative if you live in Paris!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY PORTRAIT SHOOT?
If you want to wear jeans, do it. If you want to wear a ball gown and get changed a few times, that’s cool too!
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
We use Canon DSLRs (mainly 5D MkIIs), and a range of prime lenses (including 85mm 1.2, 50mm 1.2, 35mm 1.4 & 24mm 1.4). Our film cameras include a Contax 645 and a Canon EOS3 35mm, and our favourite film is Portra 400.
DID YOU STUDY PHOTOGRAPHY AT UNI?
No, we are both self taught photography geeks. Laura did a degree in Contemporary Dance and Pete did Politics.
