Claire and David had a lovely wedding at Peckforton Castle, they even managed to organise some sunshine! A lot of time and love went into all the details, which were totally in-keeping with the surroundings; it really was a pleasure to photograph!

Pete went to find Dave (who was hiding in a turret)…

Nia & Gareth’s Winter Wedding at Peckforton Castle – Slideshow

Winter weddings are always a little bit challenging due to the lack of light, but they definitely more than make up for it by having a wonderful cosy atmosphere which we love trying to capture!

Nia & Gareth’s Wedding at Peckforton Castle

What a lovely relaxed wedding! Nia and Gareth chose the gorgeous Peckforton Castle for their big day, with a late ceremony (4pm) and then a big party to celebrate with their guests. This is probably the darkest wedding we’ve shot, but the candlelit ceremony was lovely and emotional so there was plenty to try and capture. In the evening they had a ceilidh, which is a fabulous way to get all your guests up dancing (check out the post below for the dancing in action!).

Meanwhile Gareth was trying to keep a hold of his nerves in the bar…

Then it was time to get married!

They decided not to have speeches, but Nia’s dad did a quick toast to their happiness…

We had a little wander around the castle with Mr & Mrs…

With the help of a nearby guest in a car, we managed to get a few shots outside in the headlights!

Laura and Luke’s wedding at Peckforton Castle was a dream to photograph; a beautiful couple, lots of emotion, a stunning setting, and although we were all on constant rain-watch we had glorious sunshine! After the civil ceremony they also had a lovely blessing in the chapel, which was great for us as it was two weddings in one! Very rarely does a wedding run so smoothly and on-time. There was a two hour gap between the blessing and wedding breakfast, which gave them plenty of time for photos (and champagne!).

Chloe & Chris are a wonderful couple, and it was a fabulously sunny day so we were even more excited than normal to photograph their wedding. They had managed to take some time out from their day jobs saving lives and/or fighting fires especially for the occasion.

We were also excited to photograph our first wedding at Peckforton Castle, which is one of the nicest venues we’ve shot at, although the peacocks were a little bit un-nerving!

On with the pictures! It was a really busy morning for Chloe who had lots of visitors and well wishers…
