Jo + Simon’s Wedding at Mitton Hall – Part One

After a little break from weddings, we were super excited to jump back into it at Joanne and Simon’s big day last week. They are both lovely and funny, it was a total pleasure to hang out with them; and it was extra nice because we recognised lots of faces from Simon’s sister Sarah’s wedding in 2009. Here are a few of my favourites from their day…

Jo + Simon’s Wedding at Mitton Hall – Part Two

So Jo and Simon just tied the knot and are about to make a run for it in the drizzle…

Then it was off to Mitton Hall for the reception…

The sweety table!

We grabbed a brolly and headed out for a few portraits. When we chatted with Jo and Simon before the wedding they said they hated the idea of posing for pictures. ”We’re so bad at it honestly”, “as long as we get ONE good one” etc. Just look at them, laughing constantly = portrait gold!

I can’t repeat what Simon said here. What’s said during the portrait session, stays in the portrait session

I love this one, “put down the lolly and stand here!”. Silly idea doing group photos next to the sweets!

Simon’s dad did a lovely welcome speech…

A bit of dutch courage for the best man, who was seriously nervous about his impending speech!

It was time to get the toasts started…

After all that worrying, it went down a storm!

Caroline + Craig’s Wedding at Mitton Hall

After our snowy portrait shoot last month we were really looking forward to Caroline and Craig’s wedding at Mitton Hall. They are both super lovely, the day was relaxed and informal and it wasn’t snowing, hurrah!

The bouquet was AMAZING!

Craig spent the morning running around doing last minute jobs like a mad man, followed by the journey from hell through crazy traffic with a travel sick toddler. It’s never like that in films is it?!

He still looked pretty happy though

Gemma and Phil had a fabulously relaxed wedding at Mitton Hall, but instead of telling you about that I want to tell you about this…

That’s right, Gemma and Phil gave US a present on their wedding day – ridiculously nice.

Gemma organised an Aston Martin so Phil could rock up in style!

Even though we’ve been to Mitton Hall lots of times, we’ve never really explored down the steps…

Gemma’s mum made this fabulous bouquet which was full of little charms. The penguin is my favourite (Phil proposed next to the penguin enclosure at the zoo!).

Emma & Andy’s wedding at Mitton Hall

On Thursday Emma and Andy tied the knot at Mitton Hall (finally, after being together for the past ten years!). These two could not have been happier and were grinning pretty much constantly – fantastic! It really was a happy day with a great atmosphere, the only down side being that they didn’t take us to New York on their honeymoon with them

We started the day at Emma’s Mum and Dad’s where they’d had an emotional morning!

It was a big day for Mum and Dad…

A surprise limo had been organised to take Emma to Mitton Hall for finishing touches!

Sarah & Pete’s Wedding at Mitton Hall

We though when we came back from Morocco that would be the last hot weather we’d see this year – but something crazy is happening in the UK at the moment and it’s gloriously sunny and hot, which made for a fabulous day on Friday for Sarah & Pete’s big day! We’re going to claim that we brought the weather back with us!

Both Sarah & Pete were extremely nervous in the morning, but Pete had a particularly action packed morning trying to sort out a new table plan after a couple of guests couldn’t make it due to suspected swine flu! After the ceremony, or actually as soon as they saw each other at the top of the aisle, they became completely the opposite and were so relaxed, constantly smiling and laughing with each other – just what we love to photograph!

Yvonne & Adam – Slideshow!

Wedding season has now hit with full force which means Yvonne & Adam have been waiting a little while longer than we hoped for their pictures to be ready – and now they are! Thanks for your patience guys, it’s really appreciated!
