Bournemouth fun!

Last weekend we took the five hour drive down to (not so sunny) Bournemouth to photograph the wedding of Francesca and Mark.  We figured we’d take the opportunity to catch up with some southern photographer friends and stayed a few extra days.

On Sunday we were joined by Fazackarley who came over from Brighton, and the lovely Emma and Ian (also know as Big Bouquet) who took us on a laughter filled pub crawl around their neck of the woods – unfortunately (or fortunately!) there are no pictures of that evening, apart from a few iphone snaps of mojitos:-)

The next day we considered heading to the beach, but due to the freezing cold wind we only got as far as this car park for a few portraits with Simon

I did a couple of Pete shots too!

Then we had a civilised lunch with a hoard of southern snappers.  Here’s Hazel du Preez, Ian Olsson and Stuart James

The venue for this little gathering was perfectly chosen by Emma and Ian. Check it out…

Good times!  It was great to meet all those we hadn’t met, and great to catch up with those we had.  Big thanks to Emma and Ian for being fabulous hosts and showing us the delights of Bournemouth, we had a fantastic weekend! x

Looks like a fantastic meet up! Wish I could have been there. Superb photos – it’s nice to put some (more) faces to names. I hope you weren’t picked on for being Northern; looks like you were heavily outnumbered!

Cool photos guys, glad someone made the effort to capture the day – my camera didn’t even leave my bag! So nice to meet you all – I thoroughly enjoyed it! Laura, Pete and Stuart, you northerner’s aren’t that bad, you’re welcome down anytime!

Great shots Pete & Laura! It was wonderful to meet you all – northerners, southerners, all good people for sure :) I had to LOL at the picture of me looking adoringly at Stuart :D

I am LOLing. Great shots – Poor Ian looks so deflated! :) It was fantastic to meet everyone for chats and grub. Our trip around town on Sunday was very funny, L, P and S. Looking forward to another when I’m not drugged-up on DayMed!

Great photos guys, although I look seriously rough in that ‘relaxed portrait’ !!
Was brilliant to meet everyone!! Really great bunch!!
ps. It’s probably for the best that there isn’t any evidence from Sunday!!

So jealous that this was too far away for me. Looks like you had a great time and you are brilliant taking fab images to record it for posterity. Obviously us northerners are better-looking but you’ve not done a bad job with photoshop and everyone looks quite normal considering ;-) Hope we can all get together as one big happy (gorgeous) bunch of Brits soon.

I got papped! So strange to be in front of the camera!! It was so awesome to meet everyone and the best way to spend a Monday for sure. I could start the week with a lil R-Network meeting every week! I’m hoping us southerners can gate crash the northern meeting next time :-)
