Last Friday we had the pleasure of photographing Sarah & Richard’s wedding at Lytham Methodist Church followed by their reception at Farington Lodge. The weather was gorgeous and the people were great and very much up for having a wonderful day, there’s not much more you can hope for as a wedding photographer!
We actually met Sarah for the first time when she was a bridesmaid at Amy & Phil’s wedding back in April 2007, and there were a fair few familiar faces this time around. Amy was supposed to be a bridesmaid for Sarah, but a cute little addition to the family (3 week old baby Chloe) put a stop to that!
Working with lovely couples is the best part of our job, and Sarah & Richard you were a complete pleasure to hang out with. We hope you like your pictures!

Then off to the church, where Richard was wondering where all his ushers had gone!

Love this next one!

Sarah really wanted some pictures with the windmill in Lytham and we were more than happy to oblige!

Followed by some more shots at Farington Lodge

Love a nice bit of flare

Richard & Sarah found it funny how Laura and I kept staring intently at the leaves and the light.

Sarah and her mum made this cake themselves! I’m amazed at how perfect it is, possibly even more so because what comes out of the oven when I try my hand at baking! The cake topper was from her parent’s wedding too, a cute little touch.

We don’t normally put groups on the blog but this one made me laugh so it’s going on!

The speeches were brilliant, so much so that I have a picture of Laura laughing her head off in the middle of them, but she won’t let me put it online![]()

The best man took a little abuse during Richard’s speech, but his time would come!

Love this little sequence:

First Dance:

A little more flare to end on (I wish I could say this was planned!):

wow – what an amazing wedding – i can’t possibly choose ‘a’ favourite – there are lots of stunning shots ! the happiness and warmth of the day shine thru .
These images made me smile from beginning to end, you did a brilliant job catching the day – job VERY well done x
Loving the flare.. stunning photos! Wow..
I typically strive to be more eloquent in my writing but the delivery of a visual narrative here is gobsmackingly good. Aside from the fact that I love everything else about the story, the interplay between groom and best man during the speeches is truly sublime.
Loving the photos looks like you really captured all the emotions of the day.
