Jo set us a big challenge when we met up before their wedding. Apparently, she always has her eyes closed in pictures, so our challenge was to get at least one picture with them both open! I’m very pleased to say that our mission was a great success! Jo & Mike were a fantastic couple to photograph, always a smile of their faces – it was obvious they were very happy to finally be getting married after many years together!
Hollin Hall was a beautiful venue and although we can’t remember her name (sorry!), the wedding coordinator was a fantastic help to us and really made the day run smoothly.
Here are a small selection of the pictures from the day:
There were a lot of tears shed after the ceremony!
Not sure what’s going on here!

See – both eyes! We told you we’d do it!
Lovely speeches…
One of my favourite from the day, I love the little looks couples give to each other:
Seriously, they never stopped smiling! It was great!
Another favourite – attack of the confetti!

Gorgeous set of images. Love the image of Joanna and her father walking down the stairs. The confetti shot is probably one of the most original I have seen in ages. May have to use that idea myself
Hey Pete! That confetti shot is da bomb/positively awesome/inspired/jaw-droppingly awesome!
I love your B&W treatments! My Nov 28th Wedding is still deciding – if they don’t book, I’m so coming down to Bournemouth to shoot with you both!
Great job once again, loving the shallow depth of field. Can’t believe they let you throw confetti inside! The last shot is one of my favourite first dance shots ever.
Beautiful wedding, really wonderful moments and emotions captured. The confetti shot (as already raved about) is probably the best I’ve seen!
