We thought it was time for a little change of scenery, and as we are far too busy to vamp up the website at the moment a new blog is a good start! It’s been quite an eventful couple of weeks; we celebrated our first wedding anniversary, photographed lots of fabulous couples, and booked lots more weddings for next year (only 7 more spots for next year left to fill!). We are also starting to slowly crawl out from under the mountain of wedding work (album design, developing weddings…), so thank you to all those who have waited patiently, it is much appreciated!
Last week we got a new toy to play with: a 50mm f/1.2L
A few weeks ago we had two casualties of war: a 50mm f/1.4 and a 28mm f/1.8. We are guessing it was down to the extreme weather conditions at Nicola and Phil’s wedding (torrential rain all day!), but they both stopped working a few days later. I get very attached to my lenses (and both of these are primarily used by me) and was gutted that my babies were giving up on life – particularly the 28mm which is one of my favourites. The only option to cushion the blow while they are in hospital (Canon HQ), was to get a shiny new toy in the shape of the 50mm f/1.2. It’s early days, but I think this could become a firm favourite. I used it at two weddings this weekend, so check out its genius in the following two posts!
