Another weekend, another beautiful wedding! We really do have the greatest job.

Louise & Gary had a beautiful wedding in Manchester which was relaxed and intimate.  Both venues were new to us – The Monton Unitarian Church, and the Court House in Worsley, both of which were great locations for pictures!

On the way to the reception we took a detour and did some portraits of Louise and Gary, who were 3-2-1 lovin’ each other!

Nothing is more fun than a new toy, and the joy of our new 85mm f1.2 L lens has not yet worn off!  It’s very pretty, and more importantly it’s good at its job – which for us means it is awesome for portraits, and for low light conditions without flash (i.e. most weddings!).

Here it is next to its little bro, the 85mm f1.8 – which is one of my favourites and will remain so despite its flashier sibling!

We have a naming ceremony for each lens when welcomed into the fold, it’s easier for us to ask each other for lenses by nickname rather than a stream of numbers and letters!  For example the 50mm f1.4 is ‘Stubby’, the 85mm f1.8 is ‘Super Stub’ and the 70-200mm f2.8 is ‘zoom zoom’.  After careful consideration we have decided to name the new lens MEGATRON.  Should raise some eyebrows at weddings as Pete, in a deep and serious voice, asks me to ‘pass the Megatron’!

It’s not every day you wake up to the delivery of a box FULL of sweets!  Kerry and Michael (who’s wedding we snapped a few weeks ago) sent us an amazing present, which literally had us grinning like kids at Christmas!  Thanks guys! X

Louise and Roger’s wedding was stylish and unique.  Lots of the details were taken care of by friends and family (the flowers, the bridesmaid dresses, the cake…), and the bride had obviously put her all in to planning the wedding of their dreams.

None of the bridesmaids had seen the bride in her dress, so it was a very emotional moment!

The ceremony was held at Ashton Memorial in Lancaster which was a stunning venue.

Roger looked happy and very dapper (I loved the retro shirt and tie!)

They spent most of the ceremony grinning at each other!

We had a great time yesterday shooting Debbie & Neil’s big day.  After 10 years together Debbie & Neil tied the knot at Mytton Fold.  Despite a little rain it was a wonderful day!
